Krispy Kreme Day!

Yesterday one of our Executive Creative Directors here at Saatchi House served Krispy Creme Doughnuts! So thanks to Facebook because Tones our ECD tagged me and I was able to grab these pics! One sweet day in the office. It was really fun and happy afternoon after the last week vodka-slurpee afternoon party. Slurpee on the other hand makes my heart freeze and not my brain :p

(In this photo: Sab, Tanya, Hans Malang, Windel Aboy, Jo Angeles, Andrew Petch, Kate Plata, Maan Agsalud, Bia Fernandez, Sir Rod, Jordan Santos, Patrick Miciano, Bogey Bernardo, Biboy Royong, Abe, The Artist Chef Joanie, Mark Peckson, Ruel Arnedo, Glenn Lalogan, Acid Cid and The Ian San Gabriel...where are the others?)

I just realized how I really, really love Krispy Kreme and told myself that maybe it only takes two doughnuts for me to say YES! Not that difficult huh. And so now me and my Creative Director Rex will run to 7-11 for an afternoon "Ice Cream Craving." My treat! :p

Follow your heart...

Cinque Terre or Amalfi?

The Cinque Terre (pronounced CHEEN-kweh TEHR-reh) is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.

The Cinque Terre is noted for its beauty. Over centuries, man has carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible "modern" development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages and cars can not reach it from the outside. It is a very popular tourist destination.

The Amalfi renowned for its rugged terrain, scenic beauty, picturesque towns and diversity, the Amalfi Coast is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The towns lying on the Amalfi Coast are Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Scala, Atrani, Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Praiano and Positano.

Let the future reveal.

Eve's Fanatsy

Title: Pantasya ni Eba (Oil on Canvass - painted October 2005)

Even before the day came when I painted this work of art, the idea of being a woman filled with fantasies and dreams was born on 1978. But only in 2005, when the ideas were uttered on paper and on canvass. The interpretation of the woman I want to be was painted on this absurd horizontal canvass and written on a three pages essay that were both submitted to Philip Morris contest more than three years ago. I was looking back at the journey I had and I always have this idea of how I want to profile myself after all these years of hard work and never-ending dreams.

Joan Manalang born in Manila –Philippines on 1978. Develops a work influenced by different powerful women and global female cultures. With a smooth way of painting, she develops a different and delusive topics linked with the life experience of the urban women translated in their own routine with urban interventions. Started her job in 2000. The journey of doing uncountable brochures, flyers, posters, banners, hundreds of print ads, and remarkable TV commercials makes her think that the road to Cannes Lions is narrow but not impossible to travel. Nowadays she has develop expositions, illustrations, paintings & graffiti. She also preaches about food with the inspiration she gets from whom she considered a food guru – Jamie Oliver. Never a day that she stop concocting gastronomical dishes that will captivate the taste buds of every food enthusiasts. She also classifies her self as female poetic visual artist with taste and class. She is also searching for the valorization of the women as a singular productive and creative human being in a society.

Anyway this might be a good intro for wiki. Sigh. But who knows? :-)
